We started our day with another look outside our window - it was raining.

It was a less relaxing start to the day since we had to have our bags out at 6:45 am, grab a quick breakfast starting at 7, and then leave for the 8 am ferry. But then we began our long journey by ferry and bus.
We started with a 1 hour ferry ride from Geiranger to Hellesylt on the ferry - along with our bus. The rain stopped and we enjoyed the views.

Coming in to Helleyslt
We reboarded our bus and continued our journey. So much beautiful scenery. We tried to capture some of it from the windows of the bus.
Another short ferry ride across the Sognefjord.
We got into Bergen late afternoon - one quick photo stop before we got to hotel.
After dinner Emma (our guide) led a group for a trek up and down the mountain of Fløyen. We went up on the Fløibanen or funicular, took photos and then walked down. Great place for a sunset but since that wouldn't happen until about 10:30pm we opted to pass.
It was a long day - much of it riding on the bus. Ending with a 2-3 mile walk was enough for us to quickly fall asleep soon after we returned to our room.
